Ford MyCANIC / MyCANIC-FD Script Tool Instructions:

Updating firmare on original MyCANIC (gold keypad):
1.) Connect the MyCANIC to power/vehicle using the OBDII cable.
2.) Connect the MyCANIC to your PC using the USB cable.
3.) Run the FSCRIPTvXXXX.exe file (currently FSCRIPTv5350.exe) to update the firmware.

Updating firmware on newer MyCANIC-FD (black keypad) or MyCANIC-IOT (black keypad & color display):
1.) Copy the appropriate APP.LDR file provided to the SD-Card.
2.) Power-cycle the MyCANIC-FD or MyCANIC-IOT to update the firmware.

Once the firmware is updated, copy the encrypted script file (.FSF extension) to the SD-Card, put it back in the MyCANIC and power cycle. Most encrypted script files can run on any type of MyCANIC, with the following exceptions:
   - Scripts that require CAN-FD communication will only work on MyCANIC-FD and MyCANIC-IOT
   - Very large scripts will only work on MyCANIC-FD and MyCANIC-IOT

If there is an issue, please take a picture of the MyCANIC LCD screen if possible, then exit the script (get back to main menu), remove the SD-Card and send the log files (all *.LOG files, and specifically the FSCR_DBG.LOG file) and picture to EEPod for analysis.

NOTE: If you have a single script file that you would like to execute automatically as soon as the MyCANIC device powers up, simply rename the encrypted script file to "AUTOEXEC.FSF" on the SD-Card.
